1. What a cookie is

A cookie is a small text file placed on your device by a website. It lets the website remember something between page loads — for example, that you have already answered the consent banner. Similar technologies such as local storage do the same job, and everything in this policy applies to them equally.

2. Our position

We set the minimum. Strictly necessary cookies are used to make the website work and to remember your consent choice — the law allows these without consent because without them the website cannot function as you have asked. Nothing else is set until you choose "Accept all" in the banner. If you choose "Reject non-essential", no analytics cookie is set, and the banner does not reappear on every page to nag you into changing your mind.

We do not use advertising cookies, retargeting pixels, social media trackers or cross-website profiling of any kind on this website.

If we ever need to add a cookie, this table is updated before it is deployed, and any new non-essential cookie resets the consent banner so you are asked again.

4. Changing or withdrawing your choice

Select Cookie preferences at the bottom of any page. The banner will reappear and your new choice replaces the old one immediately. Rejecting non-essential cookies removes any analytics cookie already stored.

You can also clear or block cookies in your browser settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will not break the content of this website, but the consent banner will reappear on every visit because we will have no record of your answer.

5. Third-party cookies

We do not embed third-party advertising or social widgets, so no third party sets a cookie through a page on this website. We do load web fonts from Google Fonts, which is a static asset request and does not set a cookie.

When you follow a link to an operator or a support organisation, you leave this website. That destination sets its own cookies under its own policy, over which we have no control. Please read the cookie policy of any website you visit.

6. How long consent lasts

Your choice is stored for 12 months. After that we ask again, in line with Information Commissioner's Office guidance that consent should be refreshed periodically rather than treated as permanent.

7. Legal basis and your rights

Non-essential cookies are set on the basis of your consent under Regulation 6 of the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003 and Article 6(1)(a) of the UK GDPR. Consent can be withdrawn at any time and is as easy to withdraw as it is to give. How we handle any resulting personal data is described in our Privacy Policy.
